Our charming self catering cottages (breakfast can be arranged) are set in beautiful gardens a 5 minute walk from McGregor village centre, and offer upmarket accommodation for couples. In the tradition of McGregor, they are not sprawling city houses but cosy country cottages – simply perfect for two - & each cottage has a character all it’s own.

All our cottages are private & have mountain views, braai & fireplace, fully equipped kitchenette, linen & towels, tea, coffee, milk & sugar, a CD/DVD player as well as TV/DSTV (if you bring your own smartcard).

Pear Tree Cottage - certified 19th century National Monument

Bordering apricot orchards, this dinky thatch cottage offers a luxurious queen bed in spacious sleeping area, bathroom (shower) and vine covered private stoep overlooking pretty garden with shady trees.

Sunbird Cottage – Shower under the Stars

Set in a rose filled garden shaded by a large oak tree, this romantic Cape Georgian style cottage has a stylish queen bed & exquisite open plan oval bath for two (there is a screen for the modest!), & separate toilet as well as a private vine covered stoep and rustic stone outside double shower open to the stars.

Hoopoe Cottage – Out of Africa

Attached to the main cottage, this beautiful Cape Georgian style cottage has a spacious bedroom with inviting queen bed open plan to tiled living area and luxurious en suite bathroom (shower & double oval bath). French doors open onto private stoep with lovely garden. 

The Guinea Fowl Room

(may only be booked in conjunction with Hoopoe Cottage as some facilities are shared) Adjoining Hoopoe Cottage, The Guinea Fowl Room sleeps 2 additional adults in a luxury double bed and is equipped with bar fridge & tea & coffee tray with kettle and has its own private entrance and pretty garden area.

 

Willow – A little piece of Heaven

Situated on the outskirts of the village bordering apricot orchards in the older, more historic section , and shaded by a lovely old weeping willow tree, our extensively renovated and luxurious Willow Cottage is gorgeous!

The slate tiled living room has a leather couch and large open fireplace set in a stone clad wall, as well as a small oak dining table and fully equipped blue & yellow country kitchen.

The bedroom in the traditional sleeping loft has a luxurious queen bed with snow white percale bedding and buttercup yellow accessories and is SO romantic nestled in the eaves. (NO OPEN THATCH IN THE LOFT), and the exquisite slate bathroom has a huge double shower and slate vanity unit.

There is a built in braai situated on the large stoep overlooking the pretty garden across the apricot orchards to the mountains. PET FRIENDLY BY ARRANGEMENT.

* Each cottage sleeps 2 in a luxury queen bed. A child or 3rd adult may be accommodated on a sturdy camp bed with sleeping bag at no extra charge
