McGregor is proud to have several not-for-profit organisations, who are doing some excellent work within the community.  As always, these organisations run from one funding crisis to the next.  If you can help support them in any way, please get in touch, either directly or via the Contact Us link above.

PONDO

To create environments for children of any race, colour, gender or creed who are in need of love and shelter.

THE P.O.N.D.O. CHILDREN'S VILLAGE TRUST is an organisation whose ambit encompasses residential childcare homes and community-oriented initiatives to support the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Their major needs revolve around financial support for the continuation of the Stone House project. The ways that they attempt to address their needs are through sponsorship for individual children - in the form of a network of individuals who sponsor a specific child's needs, i.e. clothing, birthday outings, gifts or "general running costs". In short, in any way that the individual sees fit to support.

The McGregor Family Centre

Run under the auspices of the P.O.N.D.O., the McGregor Family Centre has as its aim the provision of support to vulnerable children and their families within the community. Its goal is to reduce child abuse and neglect in the village and surrounding rural area, by empowering families to break the cycle of frustration, despair, alcoholism, domestic violence and apathy.

The Centre is completely dependent on donated funds, yet the work they do in the community is beyond price. Please consider helping, either with time or financially.

To read more about their work, please see their page.

The McGregor Waldorf School

The School provides an holistic education, from Playgroup through to Class 11, to children from all backgrounds. It aims to stimulate independent, critical, creative thinking, to encourage working constructively with others, to develop the will and intellect, and to nourish the soul.

If you would like to play a developmental role in this community, to give your children a holistic education, or help with funding, please see the McGregor Waldorf School page.
