Food And Drink

Many people choose self-catering accommodation when they visit McGregor, but even if a traditional braai keeps you going most nights, it's good to get out from time to time. McGregor has a selection of places to eat, and also shops where you can pick up provisions for those occasions when you do want to cater for yourself. And Wine; now that's one thing you just can't forget around here! If you'd like to know more about wines, there are some excellent sites for you to visit. We particularly like Wines of South Africa and Grape.co.za

harvest, the award-winning McGregor Winery should not be missed by any wine-loving visitor.

Wolfdoring Wines
Producing high quality wine on a small scale, musician and Garagiste John Hargreaves makes his acclaimed Wolfdoring Red Berry at his home. With hand-picking and a gentle approach, John retains the inherent berry flavour in his wine.
