The Old Mill Lodge & Trattoria

“Trat-to-ria” - A small family restaurant serving simple fare.

ImageScreened from view, and set deep in a copse of magnificent shady trees, right at the very top of Mill Street, you’ll find McGregor’s best kept secret. “Trattoria” at The Old Mill Lodge.

“Trattoria” is open 7 days a week for breakfast, teas and lunches, and offers an A la Carte dinner menu, on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday night hosts an amazing buffet, which leans towards all things Mediterranean. The restaurant is closed on a Tuesday and Thursday evening. Booking is advisable as space is limited.

“Trattoria” is managed by Peter and Janie Rosenfels who have recently arrived in McGregor from Zimbabwe and between them they share a wealth of knowledge in the hospitality and restaurant trade.

“Trattoria” is home to the small, but fully licensed “Fig n Pig Pub” that boasts a comprehensive local wine list and on hand advice from wine aficionado Peter. The kitchens are Janie’s passion, serving Trattoria food which is fresh, honest, unpretentious, and homemade. Robust food, served without frills or fuss make up the body and the substance of this small family restaurant.

Come home to warm hospitality, delicious food and wine, laughter, love and all the good things in life.

Come on up – we’d love to see you!!
