“For those who live passionately”

Image

John Hargreaves, musician, and now also passionate "Garagiste," came to McGregor a few years ago, bringing with him a long-held dream of establishing a micro-winery at his lovely home using selected grapes from the McGregor area, as well as from his own small vineyard.  Open, wax-lined, concrete fermenting bins are used which help to keep the must cool.  After a period of barrel maturation, the wine is bottled without fitration.  His aim is to retain the inherent berry flavour which, he believes, can be acheived through minimum interference.  Due to limited cellar space, production is restricted to 2000 bottles per annum.
